CZ: Blueberries and Bikes

No doubt about it. One of mine and Magda's favorite part about TCR in the summer is the wild berries we got to pick in the forest. On this particular afternoon, Magda was left in the care of her Baba while Step and I took a bike ride with Cousin Hanka, Martina, Urs, and Rafael. I was quite startled to come home to this blue mouthed babe, but she obviously had a blast.

One comment on our bike ride: those hills sucked! If we weren't going uphill for a mile, we were doing a crazy, fast, winding downhill. I think the whole trip we were only going flat for about 30 feet, I swear that the rest of the trip was either uphill or down. My legs were killing me for the rest of the day!

CZ: Beautiful Day for a Hike

Stepan, Magda, and I had a lovely time together at Prachovské skály. It was a fairly easy hike made even easier being able to go at our own pace and not the crazy Swiss pace favored by the majority of Stepan's family. This hike had some wonderful narrow passageways, beautiful trees, and amazing rock formations. Afterwards we went to Jičín for a very unproductive shopping trip though we were able to find the last package of diapers we needed to get Magda home. Sadly, it is also were I somehow lost Stepan's SF hat (which I'm wearing in the picture). And now that it's gone he claims it was his favorite hat and fondly recalls it as his "engagement" hat (since he bought it on our engagement trip to SF)...I fear I'll be hearing about this hat for many many years to come!
