NYC Here I come I

NYC Here I come

I just couldn't stand not seeing Meredith in her singing debut in New York City. I really didn't think I could get a good airfare, but I knew I would regret it if I didn't at least try. So after checking directly with the airline websites (ticket's range from $800-$1400), I offered $250 for a ticket on Priceline....and it was accepted!!! I was shocked....then dismayed because I should have tried $200 and because now I would have to tell my co-workers that I wouldn't be here on Monday...or Tuesday! I'm very excited.

Sadly though, Stepan has a much stronger work ethic than I do...he won't be able to take off work to go with me. It will be less than a month since our marriage for our first night apart. It's kinda strange to think about it...especiallly since just last week I was talking to a co-worker who just spent her first night away from her husband. They had been married over a year.

Yeah, but Chuy didn't have Homer to keep him company!

And I will be an excellent chaperone! Step, what is your take on male Strippers? Is it considered cheating?

I wish I could go too! I thought about asking you when I read about it on Meredith's site, but Dale leaves on Monday for a conference in Seattle, so I couldn't have gone anyway. Have a wonderful time! I bet Stepan will be thrilled not having a harpy around to nag him about the shed. Guarantee you he vegs both nights.

I would take that bet - Stepan really isn't one to vegetate too much. My guess is he'll spend a majority of the time on his computer.

Check out this article on Tex in the City's first production...it mentions Meredith's name, too!
